Dr Saad Al-Khalaf
Dr Saad Al-Khalaf is an experienced consultant general psychiatrist who is based in Guildford, Surrey. He also covers a portion of Hampshire and London. He specializes in the treatment of chronic mental illness and older adult psychiatry. He has a special interest in organic psychopathology depression, anxiety and anxiety (especially treatment-resistant depression), and memory impairments, including dementia. Dr Jennifer Laidlaw
Jennifer Laidlaw earned her MD from the University of British Columbia before doing her residency in psychiatry. She was involved in medical training during her residency. She has presented and published papers at international conferences on topics like delirium screening social media and professionalism. She spent the beginning of her career as the Head of Consultation Liaison (CL) Psychiatry at Surrey Memorial Hospital where she focused on creating a vibrant and highly collaborative CL service that provides psychiatric care to patients on the surgical and medical wards as well as the palliative care and oncology units. She was also awarded a Facilities Engagement grant to develop guidelines on how to manage vulnerable patients at the hospital.
She is the Provincial Practice Leader for Psychiatry at BC Cancer, Clinical Associate Professor at UBC and Past-President of the BC Psychiatric Association. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine and an adjunct faculty member of the UM PM&R and Family Medicine residency programs. She has an ongoing interest in research and education related to musculoskeletal disorders. She currently teaches Neuromuscular and musculoskeletal medicine to the Family Medicine residents and has ongoing research projects on musculoskeletal education electrodiagnostic medicine, and performing arts medicine.
Dr. Pulkit Singh completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales before completing her Psychiatry residency at the University of British Columbia. She received the Undergraduate Teaching Award and the Psychotherapy Award during her training to recognize her accomplishments in these fields. She has worked in a variety of areas of Psychiatry and has a keen interest in the field of Psycho-oncology, Addiction Psychiatry, Cardiac Psychiatry and General Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
Dr. Nadeesha is a psychiatrist who treats patients with BC Cancer. She has a particular interest in Psychooncology and is a fan of working with older people. She has a long-standing passion in geriatric psychiatry and has been a consultant for the Geriatric Psychiatry Consult Liaison Service and ECT service at Vancouver General Hospital. She is a teacher and mentor for medical residents and students.
Dr. Theresa Lo
Dr. Theresa Lo completed medical school and psychiatry residency at the University of British Columbia. She has worked at the BC Cancer Agency, Surrey Mental Health and the UBC Sleep Disorders Centre. She has an extensive clinical practice that includes dialectical behaviour therapy and psychodynamic psychology. She is proficient in Cantonese.
Dr. Karim was educated at Guy's King's St Thomas' and St George's hospitals in London and is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. She is on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council and has been practicing psychiatry for over 20 years. She is interested in psychiatry for children and adolescents.
Dr. Richford started her career as a nurse. She then studied medicine, receiving her MD from Dalhousie. She has worked in numerous Psychiatry areas which include Addiction Psychiatry as well as Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Psycho-oncology, and more. She is currently a staff psychiatrist at Providence Health Care, Vancouver General Hospital and BC Cancer - Vancouver, as also an Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology at UBC. She was the former president of the British Columbia Psychiatric Association.
Dr Margaret Wong
Dr. Margaret Wong is a renowned medical expert who is dedicated to advancing healthcare services. She is also an active member of the Association of Physicians and Surgeons of Ohio. She is a judge on the Eighth Judicial District Court as well as the Federal Sixth Circuit Court.
